RSS for the HAMB works great, but it's not working for me here. The "help" search turned up this but neither the add to My Yahoo nor paste URL approach works.

Thanks,

Terry

He might not have it turned on yet. It's only a couple of seconds to turn it on (after you can remember where vBulletin put it)

It's also possible to add a button to the page somewhere or create an icon that shows on the right side ofthe URL address. See the site in my sig to view the examples I mentioned above (RSS button at bottom)

Thanks for the reply. I thought the same (not turned on) except the RSS links are on the main Garage Journal Page here in the right hand column, but they don't work for the forums.

That pretty much exhausts my understanding. BTW, I bookmarked the board in your sig, thanks.

I knew I had seem something else about RSS somewhere on here (your link is where I had seen it before - forgot where though). The XML is only for that page, so no go on the forum.

Do alot of folks use that on the HAMB? It can be a bandwidth hog if lots and lots of folks are using it. But it would take many users to make a noticable difference in bandwidth usage.

Not sure what browser you use, but Firefox handles RSS feeds very well. You add a live bookmark with the XML info and when you open your bookmarks, all the new threads are listed. Still working out how to increase the refresh frequency (not hard I don't think, just haven't found the time to do it yet).

I've rolled out RSS on all of my forums as soon as I learned about it. Ain't technology great?
