Rust Bullet durability?

Installed 3 coats of Rust Bullet on 8 month old concrete floor about 2 months ago. Prep was cleaning concrete and diamond grinding. Layed down the 3 coats with about 6 hour dry time between each coat. Only light foot traffic in the last 2 months since it has been down. The Rust bullet went down easy and I am pleased with the look. Questioning the durability as I have damaged it twice already once by dropping a circular saw from a saw horse and once by dropping a claw hammer from a step ladder, Both leaving a good size chip in the finish all the way to the concrete. Also large scuff from pulling a floor fan across the floor when one of the wheels hung up. Am I expecting to much from this product? Have thought about adding the clear top coat. Is that a harder finish? Looking for thought, comments, and opinions.
Thanks

Rust Bullet Gray has incredible abrasion resistance, but it is not bullet proof. I am curious on the chips, did the concrete chip away as well?

If you look at the abrasion testing on RB http://www.garageflooringllc.com/2015/01/29/part-3-well-rust-bullet-stand-abrasion/ it is pretty incredible. Here unfortunately that does not sound like it was enough for you. I would be happy to send to some material for a repair, just need to know how big the scuff is.

If you have any MetalBlast left you can spray that on the areas and let it sit for 20 minutes, then clean it off real well. If not just lightly scuff it with 150 sandpaper.

As far as the clear goes. The clear is actually an aliphatic urethane. It has a very high abrasion resistance, but the gray is the highest I have seen. The only thing adding the clear does if give you an additional layer of sacrificial protection.

One thing that gets lost in all of this, is the aluminum oxide we offer is actually used in industrial applications to increase abrasion resistance.

Bummed that you had an issue but happy to help you get it fixed.

Will send some pics as soon as I return from vacation next week. So would there be another type of clear that would be more durable that could be used over the rust bullet?

IMHO NO. When you look at the abrasion resistance of aliphatic urethane and even polyaspartics, its tough to find anything that wears the way RB does. Putting the clear over it will help in that it adds another layer, but I want to see those pics first. A couple of scenarios play into this so I would like to take a look. Anyway it plays out, we take care of our customers.

GO have some fun and lets talk and get it fixed when you get back.
