I searched but didn't see any posts on how these scrubbers hold up long term. I need a decent solution to clean the hull on my boats in salt water on a monthly basis from May to October. I’m currently using a manual brush which works, but I end up missing a lot of the growth with back and forth passes only in one direction. I’ve seen a couple videos of people using the Ryobi power scrubber on the hulls of boats in the water. Ryobi seems to be the only game in town on this product. There is a Craftsman scrubber at Ace, but it isn’t advertised as waterproof. I’m hesitant to enter another battery platform, and I don’t know if this tool will actually last in the environment. There is a promo at Home Depot where I can get the tool and batteries for $179. I would certainly buy the 3 year extended warranty on the tool for $18 since the likelihood of a salt water life killing it is high. Does anyone have long term experience abusing this tool?
