Sanp-on tool box - problem identifying vintage

I recently picked up a used Snap-on tool box at an estate sale. It is well used & looks so-so, but functionally is fine. I believe it is a KR56. But I am having problems figuring out what vintage it is as it has no markings anywhere. It had stickers on it from radio station KMET, which ceased to exist in 1987, so it is probably before that. The SNAP-ON logo and location do not match anything I can find in the on-line catalogs.

Any thoughts?

Next job - clean and lubricate the slides.

I'm going to say early 50's, possibly very late 40's. Those drawer pulls died out in the mid 50's. It's possible the date maybe stamped on the back by the model number which can be very hard to see. I don't know exactly when they started the date stamp. Also you can go to collecting snap on.com and look threw the catalogs.

Snap On posted this date chart on their Facebook page the other day.
