Screw Drivers Needed

For the life of me, I cannot seem to find any remnants of the several sets of screwdrivers I have acquired over the years. I mean several sets. All my Craftsman sets have gone missing (I can find a couple torques and that is all) and so have the off brands I have been given as gifts. :headscrat

I want some good screw drivers, with hardened tips, for my shop, but I will not pay the crazy money that I am seeing for SO screw drivers. Though I do like the SO hard handles design...

Any suggestions for "decent" screw drivers that won't break the bank? I'm thinking $35 for three or four phillips heads small to large and a couple (medium and large) flats shipped. :Help:

Up your budget to $55 and buy the Williams 8 pc set on Ebay. They're the same as SO hard handles.

The Craftsmam professionals are a decent low price screwdriver. It seems my local store always has some on clearance, and they are almost always part of the club member discounts.

If not, then I say go with the Williams hard handles. Can't beat them at that price.

People either love or hate the hard handle SK drivers. They have a handle that is a little smaller than the the Snap-on or Williams style and they are a little "slicker". If you work with a lot of grease on your hands, that might be an issue. I like them because they are a little smaller and can reach into areas that my larger drivers give me a hard time turning.

Another option listed above is the Craftsman pro line. They are easy to replace, have a soft grip if that is important to you and are nice drivers. I know that a lot of guys like the Wera/Wiha lines but I could never get past the handles on them.....

If I have the room, I still like my Snap-on Instinct hard handle drivers though. Try finding them here or in a Craigs List ad. They sometimes pop up at a reasonable price.

Yesterday I saw some red-handled Hazet screwdrivers at Mac's Hardware. They had a nice feel to them and were about $4.00-$6.00 per tool. Anyone have experience with them??

Get the Williams hard handles available on amazon.com. They are the same as the old SO hard handles and are half the price.

ive probably had 3 or 4 sets of SO hard handles over the years, and most of them are long gone.
ive been finding SO hard handles at swap meets, garage sales, and flea markets. they are few and far between, i've had 8 or 10 blades warrantied in the last month or so.
when ever i see them, i grab em for a $1 or $2.
i recently found an SK hard handle, looked nearly new, for $1
