how do you forse the search to include words that would normally be ignored? example: i just did a search for craftsman c3 and it ignored the "c3" because it was too short. how do i include that?

You can't.

Often forums limit search terms to 4+ characters to keep the index files from growing too big. Some special (short) search terms can be added by the admin if he/they so desire.

In the mean time, type this in google search box:

site:garagejournal.com c3

I believe, though, that you can use the * symbol as a wildcard that will help you find "c3" in your search. The minimum length here is three characters. I have used the * method for SK searches in the past.
