There are a lot of items in there that I've already purchased at the Black Friday price. Like the $79.99 lithium ion drill. You can get the rolling tool cart for $39.99 right now, no need to wait until Black Friday.

My worst "Black Friday" memory at SEARS was about 10 years ago. The tool department was swarming with illegal aliens pushing everyone aside to grab the tools on sale. Oh the humanity!!!

I do need a shop vac. Wondering if it is worth the stress of going down there to save 25%.

Is it just me or is black friday ads just not what they used to be? I don't see anything there that would make me want to wake up early and fight the crowds...

I agree. I know I'll be sitting in my easy chair, drinking coffee on Black Friday morning. I'll pay more for something if it means not having to deal with all the Black Friday garbage.

Nah. We're just older, have the extra money if we need to spend it, and have most of what we need.

10, and even 5 years ago, it was worth it to do whatever it took to get that one thing I really needed at the absolute cheapest price I could get it.

Life's pretty good now.

Haha maybe for you but I'm only 24 and none of the prices seem all that great. I'll buy stuff online but nothing that's worth getting up at 3am to be lined up outside.

Google search it - there's one blackfriday website like blackfriday.fm I think - they have the Home Depot ad and are flying under HD's radar. BlackFriday.info got a letter from HD saying to take the ad down.

Edit: here it is - you have to search to find it, it's not listed on their main site that I saw after a quick glance:

I bought one of those a couple of weeks ago - very nice cart. Good buy. I have a half mind to go get another. I did change one set of casters on it - it comes with 4 wheel swivel and I changed one end to straight casters. I like that better and I had a set laying around unused.

The belt drive garage door opener looks like a good buy - $100 off regular price. We'll need a new one anyway.

I was looking at the garage door openers too. My father could use another one so I might try to fight the crowds for one.
