I had a young guy help me build a sauna by the lake last year when my back was all screwed up.
Nice young recent college grad that decided he wanted a career as a carpenter, and just got his license.. we needed a jig saw, and his was in his trailer up the driveway. I grabbed mine from the basement, a Sears Craftsman, either Sears Best or Sears Indistrial, I don’t remember which.
He laughed out loud when he saw it. I was a little taken aback at first, but then I figured he is 21 or 22 most likely. and the saw is probably around 40.
That’s why I have to laugh any time a “buy it for life” thread comes around.
He had probably $2000 worth of Milwaukee tools. Edit: adding up what I saw, probably more like $5 or $6k.
