Selling E-mail Addresses?

Since I joined this forum my email has been flooded with **** about garage floor sealers and coverings and many many more emails with bs. I want to ask if this forum sells or gives away the addresses? If not I apologize but its strange that Garage floor coverings and sealants are the main spam ?

The forum does not give away your email address. Sounds more like to me you have a tracking cookie on your computer. Time to run an anti virus check and clean out the cookies. A good idea I also do is delete history as that often helps as well.

+1 for malware or some very used cookies.

Do you have any toolbars installed (gogle, yahoo, ask, etc)? those are basically those companies way of watching everything.

I haven't gotten anything that could be remotely construed as being linked to here.

I also get very few spams as well. CCLeaner has a good removal tool to get rid of the tool bars and shut off a lot of stuff on startup.

What is your email host?
I created a new gmail account last week and it instantly had junkmail.

Given Google knows a fair amount of what surfing I do, it was somewhat directed. But there was also Publishers Clearinghouse.

Go to start> control panel> programs and features and look for the dates of the newest entries. That's the first place I look when things change. Lots of junk can come on board if you don't keep on top of it!
