Hey there folks, I've been lurking around here gathering the collective knowledge for a bit, but I come to y'all with a project that I'm having a hard time solving on my own:
I'm rebuilding a shed on the property at the new house for my wife, and we've decided to upgrade to metal siding. The problem is, I'm having a hard time deciding what to do for the doors. I've got a 93" opening framed into the stud walls (Keep in mind, if you get a 8' header, your door won't be 8' wide...), and was planning to do a split swinging door. I'm not sure how to approach attaching the hinges with the metal siding & trim. All of my experience has been with T1-11, where you'd just screw right to the siding, but it seems like there's probably a different solution for the metal siding to keep it looking nice.
Has anyone done a similar project? Any advice?
Thanks!
