How did this pass an inspection :shocking::shocking:
His only bad mark--------no 3-way switch at the bottom of the basement stairs??

messy, but code? guess so.

But, I'm really confused about the light switch. Can't have a 3-way?? Why not? Afraid someone might turn off the light from upstairs while you're in the basement? If that's it, 3'ways shouldn't be allowed anywhere! This is a new one on me. I'd like to hear more- is it really NEC, or some local requirement?

Sorry I fixed it there was no 3-way switch, only a single at the top of the stairs.

Is this panel a split-bus? If it is not, then there should be a main breaker, but based on the conductors that are behind the breakers it is a split-bus loadcenter, the 4 single pole C/B's below the 4, 2 pole C/B's make 8 disconnects, 2 too many.
