Single Outlet GFCI Adapter Plug

I just got a 12 amp plug in lawn mower. Back and side of the house, I have access to GFCI outlets already in place. For the front I don't have a GFCI available. I was going to swap out the outlet that I used (it's inside the house) to a GFCI, but then I saw this device. Would seem to give me protection and more versatility, plus I can use it with other tools if needed when working on the other side of the house from any receptacle inside. These two look the similar to me.

Any reason not to use one or is there a preferred one of these plugs?

You may find the form factor of that unit will not allow it to fit inside an in-use cover should you ever come across that situation.
Perhaps something like this would be more versatile.

Thanks. Yes, I think that type will be more versatile and user friendly for my particular needs. I have some small lights on a remote (RF) switch on the bottom of that receptacle. I'd need to unplug that to use the other adapter when I mow the lawn.
I ordered this one. It has 3 receptacles. It was just easier for me to order this one. If I leave it plugged in at that spot, the extra ports may be useful, but I don't have a plan to use the other ports at the moment.

I think the ones I originally listed are good for going along in a toolbox given the small size.

I'm not sure how I didn't know these existed 'till now. I have installed GFCI outlets where I had normal ones in the past. In my house the metal boxes are pretty tight (60's vintage) for even the slim ones. In one case I had to use a Wiremold starter box to extend out to give me more room. Using this plug should save me time and money and give me more versatility for this particular application. Thanks again.
