I brought a Craftsman 4570 dent puller home from my dad's house this week. Excellent condition. Do you guys know if other slide hammer fittings will fit it?

Coach, unless I'm mistaken, most US-made "puller" type slide hammers generally are 5/8-11 NC thread at the business end. Body slide hammers could be different.

I think my smaller NAPA uses 3/8 course thread, and so does my Snap On.... now I gotta go check...

Small Snap On stuff is 3/8, medium stuff is 1/2 (both course thread), and as stated above big is 5/8. Good news is that I have a variety of attachments and all fall into those 3, so may fit other brands.

I didn't even think about using my thread gauge to see what type of thread it is. The head is one very tight so I may have to soak it a bit then try again to remove it.

Thanks

Snap on also use 3/4" corse in the bigger size 12lb slide hammer

But yes 1/2 and 5/8 are most common. I would find out the size and check eBay for different attachments. I used my medium slide hammer to pull the keyway out of 79' Briggs and Stratton 8hp today. They are the perfect tool in some instances...

When I've looked into adapters, SO and OTC have what's needed; just gotta dig for a PN with the right M & F thread. My last one purchase was to adapt a silver ******* knockoff to a Kent-Moore race puller.
