My wife and I recently purchased a new home last summer and since then I’ve been lurking, creeping, and stealing from threads on GJ. I’m a bit of a Boy Scout and like to keep most everything that I’ve ever been in contact with which means I have accumulated a fair amount of NOT junk.
After moving in we didn’t have much cash to drop so I opted for some wire rack shelves to store what I had stacked.
Initially I wanted to jump in and get the epoxy floor done before getting things too settled. I figured I would need to move everything out of the garage and wanted to do it before I accumulated even more. After some research I found that the epoxy treatment might not be the best long term decsion for us. Instead of the epoxy I’m pushing for Racedeck.
Instead of messing with the flooring I got started with painting the walls. The garage came finished and textured so there wasn’t much prep to do. I used semi gloss and so far it’s been a good decsion.
Next on the list to do is get some real cabinets up. I’m pretty much set on the NewAge pro series but at this point it’s just a dream. I will continue to update as I start to document the quest.
