At a local flea market I stumbled over a small plane. Sole is 4"*1". It had some surface rust but 10 minutes with wet emery cloth took care of that. Sharpened the blade and it cuts really nice.
The back of the blade has the inscription:
UNION MFG. CO.
NEW BRITAIN, CT.
U.S.A.
If I ever build another guitar it will come in handy.
