Hi, I’ve been reading everyone’s advice here for a while, and I am hoping to get some advice. I have a 24x24 garage that was built in 1974. I want to coat the floor with a high solids epoxy and place a urethane clear coat over the epoxy. The floor has had quite a bit of cracking from heaving in the past and I have fixed things by removing all the loose concrete, chasing the cracks, and applying epoxy concrete patch.
The problem is I have two tiny places where I get a bit of water seepage from underneath. It is just enough to make a .125” spot on the floor with no actual water that shows. I know this because the patch doesn’t stick here.
How do I fix this? All the products I’ve seen need to have a dry surface to adhere. I was thinking of grinding out that area deeply, apply something, and then place epoxy patch on top. Is this something that would work? Also, what product to stop it?
Thanks,
Jeff
