Smooth Jaw Combination Wrench Options?

What is out there these days for combo wrenches without the anti-slip "teeth"? Seems like most tool makers have gone to the toothed designs for their combo wrenches as the default.

I would like to get a set of wrenches for my machinist box that has smooth jaws. I don't use these wrenches on rusty fasteners, and the flank drive plus style jaws just chew up the heads of all the various fasteners and adjustment screws on all the various machines, fixtures and tools.

My go-to is Snap-on for wrenches, and they are currently the front runner, but they also happen to be the most expensive. Just looking at other options. Can you even get Wright wrenches without the Wrightgrip? I really like their wrenches, but I don't want Wright grip teeth. I also was looking at Hazet, but they don't seem to make inch wrenches?

I am not particularly stuck on brand, but I do want to keep my choices to USA, Europe and Japan COO if at all possible. I don't want auto parts store brands, HF, farm store or home center brands.

Full polish chrome is preferred, but I am ok with satin chrome or industrial finish. Looking for sets of inch and metric. Normal size range, don't need huge or tiny.

This is not a rush, I have a set of Snappys without teeth, they're just in my work box and I miss them at my personal shop.

What do you guys like these days for combo wrenches?

There are many options. If you’re in the U.S. then European tools might not be the best option, as they end up so expensive by the time they reach you.

Some suggestions, in no particular order,

Hazet

Don’t get too hung up on which length you like, as most of the manufacturers offer a choice.

If you're OK with Ebay, the Craftsman V series wrenches are like the Facom above and are super nice- if you can live with the size offerings.

Snap-on and Cornwell.

Make sure the Cornwell are the Ohio made and not the stupid *** Taiwan fakes.

Snap-on still has Flank Drive Plus and regular Flank Drive on the tail end only.

I did see your preference of COO, but the Icon combination wrenches are surprisingly decent and at the price, keep 'em until you eventually find your dream set of wrenches, or as a backup? They offer them in both anti-slip and regular. Honestly they are super close to my Snap On's..

I also just picked up a set of Wurth Zebra combination wrenches, a bit more old-school in design but also exceptionally nice. Wurth claims they are manufactured in Germany, but COO is not stamped on the wrenches themselves.

Proto wrenches are anti-slip but do not have the teeth like Snap-on. Beta 42LMP series are quite nice too.

Does anyone have the Beta wrenches and can compare lengths to the US brands? I find the Euro brands tend to be shorter than US wrenches.

I may be wrong about that though.
