Does anybody use one? I'm looking at buying a bunch of tools and it's a package deal. I have never had or even used a quarter inch air ratchet. I have a quarter inch cordless but it is kind of bulky compared to this little thing. It is brand new although most of the other tools I'm looking at buying with it are slightly used. Just trying to figure a rough value to work up my package offer. Thanks.

A long time ago I worked in a bodyshop and had a Snap-On air 1/4" ratchet.

I used it a lot for dashboard work and things like front end grill / trim work.

For the body work, I thought it was pretty handy, of course there were no battery ratchets back then.

I replaced a heater core once and the little Craftsman air ratchet I had was a life saver. I will never do that again as long as I live. Handy tool that you won't use much, I have a IR 3/8 that is much larger and I still use it some especially for longer fasteners.

reactionless impacting air ratchets in 1/4 drive are super useful tool in professional shop scenario.
The old school ones not so much, hard judge usability/value without an actual model number .

Long time ago, before cordless became a thing, Snap on sold a small all metal 1/4 drive air ratchet (not the one pictured) that was a screamer. It was tiny, loud, and quick. Great for window regulators, dash, & trim work. They were very popular. If you don't mind the air hose and attach a decent swivel to it, great little tool.

That is the one I had.
As you said it was great for "light" work.

For body work, I used it almost as much as I did my 3/8 drive.

I've never used a SO air ratchet, but the few I've used were SO FREAKING LOUD that I hated them. With cordless tools I personally can't see using one unless it's some type of assembly line operation. I've got a couple of 3/8 air ratchets and haven't used them in decades.

When I worked a shop before there were cordless battery tools, I use 1/4" & 3/8" air ratchets daily. My 1/4 was an IR with 2 speeds & it was great for running stuff on & off quickly. My newest 3/8 was also an IR 2 speed but I used the 1/4 more when applicable because of the smaller size.

I still have them but retired them quite a while ago. These days I use a M12 High Speed 3/8, no 1/4 cause it's the same overall size anyway.
