Unless I'm misunderstanding something, those are the pliers you’re asking about.what was the part number for the cutters like this model that was made for flush cutting zip ties and small gauge wire?

Snap-on E710BCG cutters are actually rebranded Swanstrom 710's. I don't think Swanstrom makes that particular model anymore, but they do come up for sale NOS on Ebay occasionally. They are now discontinued, but E710BCG if you can find them were the best ones they ever had. 786CF is the part number for their new ones.
EPC160 are terrible IMO.
Why do you think the EPC160 are terrible? I cant praise them enoughThey are now discontinued, but E710BCG if you can find them were the best ones they ever had. 786CF is the part number for their new ones.

I dont normally recommend HF but Icon 57683 might be worth considering here.that is what i thought as well but the snap on dealer said they were not designed for cutting wire long term

They are meant for cutting plastic only. And the few pairs I used, the jaws weren’t the cleanest in terms of lining up. I do a lot of wiring, if I can’t flush cut copper wire and zip ties with the pliers I have no use for them.
The pair I have and my coworkers have line up great. And for cutting plastic only, that is something I will live with so I don't scrape my forearms and hands on sharp cut off zip ties
