Snap on help

Hello everyone.

I hope that you all don't mind me asking but I bought a snap on double box wrench. 12pt 1/4 and 5/16 off eBay and the wrench has a little different construction than current era production. Can anyone date this wrench for me or tell me more about it? I didn't buy a fake did I?

go on google images and look up snap on date code chart then look for the little symbol on your wrench and compare it to the cart and youll have the exact year the wrench was made

Thank you both. I was more or less wondering the authenticity of the wrench. Because when I punch in the number and hit Google search so much comes up and that tubeular design is a bit different but if it's real I love it as it's got classic curves. And it's about half what I was Gona pay on the so truck so it's a win.

Because the effort to counterfeit tools seems like quite a bit compared to a relatively small payoff.

So, basically, no, no actual confirmed and documented cases of counterfeit tools (at least, from about 10 minutes of scanning a ton of links).

Never owned a set, but on the rare occasions I got to use them, I loved the old round shank DBEs. I'd trade my intermediate v-pattern set or my current flat handle set for the oldies any day.

I believe that is a brake bleeder wrench. They were all made with the round shank.

I doubt SO would have marketed a 12pt wrench as a brake bleeder wrench.
I have a couple various brand 6pt round handle bleeder wrenches.
The OPS pic looks like it may be a spline type wrench

Crewchief is right, its a high performance wrench from the 70's
They were called XDH angle head "boxockets" The brake bleeder wrenches are 6-Point
