Hi All,

Newbie here. Had a question about the Snap On MT2500. I have a 1995 Mustang 5.0 that is giving me fits. I was wondering if the MT2500 can view data PIDs for the Stang? I know I'd need the right cartridge, key and adapter. Or can someone recommend a scanner that would? I know its an old car but I'm old too. LOL

Thanks in advance,

T

It's been years since I have dealt with an MT2500. From what I remember, there is not a better scanner for OBD1 cars.

I have a MT2500 just for OBD 1 vehicles. I've never had it hooked to a 95 Mustang but the cars I've used it on I've been able view live sensor data. Like said, I don't think there is a better OBD 1 scanner.

Keep in mind the under dash plug is there for the V6 that is OBDII, if I recall correctly. GT uses the one on the passenger side shock tower.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I've used the self-test connector located on passenger shock tower for flash codes and engine balance test, is this where a scanner to be used on these cars are hooked up? Sorry for asking such a dumb question but I've only used my Autoenginuity scanner on OBD II cars.

Not familiar with the scanner, but isn't the OBD I port where all scanners connect? I've only connected the hand held readers to mine.
