snap on tool box question/help 1976 special

Going to pick up a 1976 snap on special edition bicentennial tool chest set which includes top/middle/bottom/side cabinet/and like a little table top on other side forgot name but paying $400obo.
The boxes faces are all covered with a thin wood trim and it looks factory so my question is did snap on offer a wood trim kit in the 1970's? It looks to be original but I can't find any pics of a snap on box with wood trim, I've seen one here a guy restored he got at an auction from a well known performance car part manufacture.
I'm going to guy it either way for that price as I'm desperate for a big box and have searched CL for months and watched this box come down from 1000 bucks and it will be perfect for me, the guy said the wood looks fake by the way like that laminate stuff which fits 70's well.

Never seen it myself but a lot of strange stuff happened in the 70's

While I have seen simulated wood on a snap on box before, I have never seen it on that box and never that much of it

Looks as if someone covered the drawer fronts with wood grain contact paper.
Contact paper in various patterns was real popular back in the '70's.
It could cover up a multitude of sins.......
