Thanks for the info on paint codes that I found on other's posts. The box had been repainted in the past in black. Looked bad! (wish I would have taken a picture) First I removed the aluminum strips and bumpers, all of the drawers and slides. I then spent days sanding. I chose to weld the tops of the bumpers and mounting holes for the aluminum bumpers shut. I used a self etching primer(on the bare metal), filler primer, sealer, and then sprayed it with a sigle stage urethane inside and out. I then reasembled it and replaced the detents. I don't think that it panned out as far as money and labor goes, but I have $900 into it now and lots of labor. Here is a pic of the finished box. Sorry there is a header hanging form it, but that was a picture to show one of my freinds the header I just got done building.

Bought a bunch of mandrel bent J tubing and started cutting and welding.

I just noticed the second picture looks like the paint is terrible. I assure you it is not. I spent a ton of time block sanding. It must be the glare from fingerprints and such.
