Hello. I am new to this forum. My name is Carmen Laura. I am restoring my husband’s old 1970s Snap On tool box. It’s in great condition. I have sanded off what rust there was and will soon use a paint masking liquid rubber to mask off non-paint areas and then paint the box. I have followed other threads on here that have given me the info for the correct red to use. Thanks for that!
I have two questions, please.
1. What type/color primer do I use?
2. In your opinions, if I want to sell the box in the future, should I keep it the original red or would it be ok to paint it a navy blue? Will the navy not be as marketable or sought after as the original red?
Thank you!
