I like the look of that Steelman Pro and the EZ-Red. I just got an AP 40SL for Christmas. Seems nice but I really don't like the dial for changing the brightness. I am constantly turning it down on accident just handling the thing and so I have to consciously turn it up all the time.

I've got the ez red and mine came with the magnetic clip to make it hands free. I use it everyday for under vehicle inspections

400 lumens is a joke. A 60 watt bulb puts out 800, though in all directions, so my guess is that within the beam, that corded LED is no brighter than a 60 watt bulb.

I've never had less than a 75 watt bulb in my arm burners, and now that I can get 100 watt equivalent 1500 lumen LED bulbs for $7 and less, that's all I use.

I have to disagree with that.. I have the Capri tools led light that's advertised at 350 lumens and the thing is great. Many people on here can verify that.. you cannot compare an A19 style light bulb's lumens rating to a directional work light. It doesn't work like that. Lumens vs Lux is two entirely different things. It's like horsepower ratings. Horsepower numbers sell cars, but torque wins races.. same thing with lumens. Lumens is what sells work lights, but lux is what makes them good..

I didn't post a link to the Capri tools or Neiko equivalent because they are already popular models on this forum. You might be hard pressed to find a light better than those for the money, and the 350 lumens they put out is more than enough.

Yep, I have the Capri and it's a great light. When I first got it, I made the mistake of turning it on when the LEDs were facing me. Bothered my eyes way more than any 60W incandescent. That thing is bright.
