What do you use the speeder for? I've got the same one and I've yet to use it.

When I put my motors together I use them to start long studs like main caps oil pan studs etc. You use them when ever A impact is just to much. I can't wait just to be outside. BMW power are you the guy that gets the facom tools?

Are you converting from Craftsman to Snap-On or somethin' or buying another set ? The reason I ask is because I'm sure you already had the extensions, sockets, u-joints etc ? The rachets look sweet!

Oh and I bought some tools this weekend myself...ACE Hardware had a sale bin and I couldn't help myself picking up an automatic center punch and a 3 pc u-joint set for all of $6

I keep promising myself that I'll never buy cheap **** ever again but then I see $90 for the snap-on u-joints and $6 for the no-name **** and I get weak. Luckily, I live in Southern California so these tools never see rusted bolts and screws so I have yet to break any tool.

Oh man, sorry to hear that...I would hate to lose my tools even the cheap stuff because over time I've collected so many I wouldn't even know where to find the replacements.

Do the Snap-On trucks charge the same price that we see on the snap-on's website ? Sometimes I feel brave and go to their website only to make a hasty retreat because of the sticker shock

As far as replacing I really won't miss anything till A yr. from now I reach for that hardly used tool and it's not there. My insurance co bought direct from snap on and sent them to me. If I buy anything thru my local rep I've bought so much he gives me a break but sometimes not that great.

Did they require receipts etc? That would be hard for since I get my stuff from all over the place.

Receipts, yes but I didn't have everything, thank God I had pictures thats what saved me. The main problem was that they tried to say that I was running a business out of my garage so they only wanted to pay $1000. I had them out to the house to prove I wasn't.

I keep saying that I am going to take pictures of all of my stuff for this reason. Hopefully, your story will inspire me to actually do so. I found out just how ridiculous insurance companies can be when a tree fell and crushed our screenroom 6 months ago. We are still paying for that mess.
Also, I seem to remember that they only allow so much for each category like clothes, jewelry, tools, guns, etc.

So new so nice so shiney!!!! I have a speeder bar like that as well.Just as he mentioned Oil pan bolts are a *****. Same with valve covers. they are mainly for low torque, repetitive work. Also good for screwing things in, unstead of taking them out, because an air tool could easily cross thread them.

What do you use that slide handle for? I have an older Proto one and I have never had a use for it. Is it like a mini breaker bar?????
