I'm framing a space with 2x4s and would like to use a single box of nails for the whole job. My nailer takes 0.131" 21° nails.
Would 3" nails be sufficient for toenailing? The main reason I'd prefer the 3" nails over 3-1/2" is that I can use them to nail the jack and king studs together without having the nails protrude through the other side.
Would 3" nails be adequate for this application, or should I stick with 3-1/2"?
