Spring green house heating

We are wanting to put up a small 8x6 green house this month . Our temps look to very about 17 celcius down to 2-3 celcius at times . Once May comes we never go below 10 degrees celcius then all plants leave the greenhouse and stay outside until October . I’m not a fan of space heaters running while I sleep . I’m looking for thoughts ..... is there a chance a 12 volt heater off a car battery maybe could keep it warm enuff ? Any other ideas ? Thanks

12v won't do it, you need to be in the 60's (F) for most starters and near that for flowers or more mature plants. The swings can be worse than a low temp. They make quite a few greenhouse heaters, many are $$$ and even more so to run them regularly.

An old milk house heater (110 VAC) or two may work for you, depends on what you are wanting to start/grow

Thanks for the reply , peppers and tomatoes . We started them in January , by April they will be too big for the basement . Here is the greenhouse I bought

120vac space heater would be my choice except for the cost of electricity. Anything that's not bargain-basement will have a thermostat feature in it, and have an overtemp limit as well. Your fear is that it's going to set the greenhouse on fire (?) They make units which are "oil filled radiators" as well.
