I have a older red beam PLS but for those who are familiar in use, with the current series of Stabila , Leica or PLS green

How is the line quality of them. Didn't see all the details on googling YouTube

When I stack my Green 360 Bosch against my Green 360 Milwaukee.....while the Milwaukee is brighter, the Bosch line is crisper and thinner than Milwaukee.
I have a Leica , but it's a roto for Outdoor stuff.
I am wondering how Stabila or Leica compare re: line quality and indoor lasers....

Have no personal experience with any of them but Kyle of R&R Buildings on YouTube builds the biggest post frame buildings with Stabila lasers for layout and always praises them. He likely gets them sent to him for free as he's 100% Stabila with respect to levels and lasers but his results indicate that they must do the job.

I'm sure he's sponsored....and came across the videos. Came across when seeking the answer on the inquiry

It's hard to pick up on camera. Tried to snap a photo myself. But between the blue and red, The bosch was clearly the winner.
Didn't bother with my PLS, since it's red...

My Huepar throws a pretty FAT line

Interested to see if there's anything definitive out there

I have one of these:

Line is crisp, certainly within 30 feet or so. It pulses all the time, so it will work with a detector.

Also have this one:

Also pulses. Brighter than the Stabila above, but much larger in physical size and beam is wider.

Milwaukee took too long to release something.

PLS has the most crisp line in my opinion (or had, do not have anything recent from them), but after losing a 180 laser to their lack of pendulum lock, no more.

PLS used to be the defector alongside Hilti. This was before Bosch or Red Came out....
I mentioned I had my red PLS that I did not compare as to make it a fair comparison of what I'm looking at, I'm only looking at the Greens.

I did end up ordering a Leica to compare.....
Don't really need it but the OCD want's to see who offers the best line.

I was quite surprised my 4+ years Older Bosch was a better line than my new Red unit. Subjective...I suppose as some old eyes may prefer a brighter line. I DID get the detector with the Milwaukee Purchased. I should test to see if it recognizes the Bosch

Pretty sure that a red or green construction laser detector will work on any red or green laser tool.

The PLS 180 line lasers I have used have a dedicated pulse function and the Stabila and DeWalt ones I have used pulse all of the time.

There seems to be some differences in green laser light wavelength last I looked at green detectors at Amazon. I suppose it's possible for a detector to not work.

The one I bought works with the green lasers I have tried it on. It's pretty much required for outdoor use.

The only detector I have used is the one for my Rotary......but picked up the Milwukk One while ordering the 360.
However, in previous research, etc - I do recall not all greens may work on a given detector and vice versa...not all reds will work on a red laser detector. YMMV on this statement as I haven't tried it.

My main use case is more indoor that outdoor so it's not tried or used as often
