Stain on my Epoxy Floor

I realized that PVC solvent primer (purple stuff) stains everything, but I spilled a small drop on my epoxy floor. It seems to have stained it. Any ideas how to remove the purple stain? I have a professionally done 2 part epoxy with a clear coat. Wasn't sure about using any solvents like paint remover etc.

There are a lot of variables there. I would call the company that did the floor and pay them to fix it. They know the chemical resistance and the thickness of the clear coat. They know whether a solvent (like acetone... strong but a quick evaporator) will be strong enough to get the purple up without driving it down deeper into the clear or into the layer underneath. They will know their chances of sanding it out and doing a spot repair of more clear.

If you are dead set on a DIY, I thought the rubbing compound was actually a pretty good idea if the clearcoat will take it. It may change the gloss so watch out for that...

Good Luck!

Is your garage your workshop or showplace?

If it's a workshop, I'd wipe it down with something fairly mild and if it doesn't come up, forget about it. Give it a couple mouths and between paint, oil, welding, etc you probably won't even be able to see it.

I'd be worried with using something strong about making it worse in the end.

It is a bit of both. I work in it, but it has a very nice show look to it.

It is weird, I dripped a little by accident again tonight and it wiped right up. I don't get it...
