I picked up a Starrett micrometer at the flea market a few weeks back with some other things in a bulk purchase.

I have no need whastoever for this item. Although it cleaned up rather nicely, I cannot speak to it's calibration, or condition otherwise than its physical appearance as I know less than nothing about being a machinist. It is a model #230 and it does have the #100 scribed into the side that does not have the name of the company on it.

If anyone's interested I'll try to send photos, but I do not have internet access at home. I'd like to get $15, and I'll pay the shipping on my end.

Let me know if you're interested.

Are you sure the 100 is not 0-1? A 230 should look like this

A guy with the usename SkipSkip was the first one to respond and I've sent him photos via PM.

If he passes, here are photos (I hope). The Tool Man was next and then Crashbumper.

I'm not signed up with Paypal, but will send the item to you in advance of payment and will take a check or MO once you receive the item.

The unit does drag a little when turned and there is a ding in it that you can see from the photos.

Any other questions, let me know.

I'm prett sure this is a model 230. Someone just etched the #100 in this item for some unkown reason.

Sorry guys, I'm a newbie on the classified part.
I didn't understand the part about posting before PM'ing.

In my part of the world snoozing gets you trampled, so I tend to act quickly.
It wont happen again.

The numbers generally have to do with large production machine shops (USMT, GE, P&W etc.) as it is a bench or employee number for tracking and certification.
