Starting my garage

Hi everyone,

I am looking to start building up my garage. My father has every tool one would ever need, but it's time for me to start getting my own garage setup. I want to do it right.

I am not looking to have a full setup like my father, just looking to have enough tools to work on my cars (1965 Ford Mustang, 2015 Ram) and my wife's 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

There are two tool boxes that I am looking for to be the focal point in my garage. 1950's Craftsman and a 1950's Huot tool chests. Going for a vintage garage. I like the way they built things in the past, sturdy and with pride. Plus they look cool as hell

If anyone is selling or knows of anyone selling these tool chest please let me know? I have been on the search for about a month now and they are hard to come by.

welcome to the forum. post a location, might help you with some replies. craigslist and garage sales are always good to search. hopefully one day, all dads tools get passed down to you, but in the meantime, good luck starting your collection.

I am located in Gold River CA (Sacramento). I have been going to the local flea markets every other weekend looking for these boxes. I just picked up the top half of the Huot box from Craigslist for $100.00. Very excited to get started on restoring it. 1/4 the way there
