I have been doing alot of subframe replacements on hyundai cars lately. And the nuts in the frame of the car are breaking loose and spinning. would a cheap stick welder be sufficient to tack the nuts back in? My friend in the shop has a mig welder but I do not want to keep bothering him. So I thought I might get a stick welder. From what I read on them it seems to be suitable for that job being hard to clean the spot and tight area to work in. Any advice would be appreciated.:shocking:

Yes, to answer your question: the stick machine will work and be versatile for other jobs. Note that for this job you will likely want to use 6013, or another all position low penetration electrode.
