Its funny they finally get the blade on the correct side and the cartoon shows a southpaw running it :lol_hitti

Now for the rest of the story: Tell us about the blades :shocking: :dunno:

No thanks. My Skil wormer is screaming along just fine.....

I butchered a Skil saw to look like that to be able to get the saw blade close to a wall for a job once. Still use it once in a while. Like any tool you have to be aware of where your fingers are and where the blade is, or where the blade might end up.
P.S. I still have all my fingers after 35 years of renovating for a living, mostly using saws without guards.

I modified a saw blade to run outside the base of a Model 77 over 35 years ago, and got the idea from someone else. Used solely for sawing plates out of doorways.

They sell undercut saws but the blades on the ones I have used are small and if you rent them like I did the blades are always dull. I think this might work well for removing wood flooring for example. But I don't see the need for me to own one.

After using that saw, you will look like a Japanese Yakuza member who had to apologize to his boss.

The Shop Steward in me says no!

We would have to add "Missing Digit Mondays" and "Finger Flingin' Fridays" to our work schedule and we are way too busy for that kind of fun!

yeah I noticed the price is wild and the blades look proprietary so yeah cool concept, but I'm OUT on this one.

Cool design, I wonder how much those proprietary blades are going to cost though.
Some fun could be had if you can get a depressed center cutting wheel to fit.

Not sure what real benefits it brings besides the ability to turn the handle 90 deg...
You don't have to pin the guard back yourself

Cuzdey estimates the Straight Flush reduces construction costs by an estimated 30%

I find this claim wildly unbelievable.

You don't have to pin the guard back yourself.

For $575, I will buy a second circular saw, and remove the blade for those times when it would make a difference.

I get what you are saying now, but rarely do I need to plunge cut in such a way that I can't hold the guard with a finger, at least part of the way removed. Either way, I would not call it revolutionary to remove a guard (or not supply one).
