We had a power outage a few evenings ago. TV went out, but then I noticed a few lights were still on. Maybe lost a leg? I then check a few other lights that I know are on different legs, and they have power. I run into the shop and check voltage at the outlets. 60 volts hot-neutral on both legs! Unfortunately in my haste, I didn't get other measurements which likely would have helped answer my questions here.
I then run to the panel and shut off breakers to anything with an expensive motor on it (a/c, well pump, hot tub etc). Get a text from a buddy down the road, they have the same issue.
20 minutes later, the issue is resolved. I didn't see anything posted by the power company. I'm thinking of calling them to find out what the hell happened.
My only guess is somethign failed in a transformer. Wish I got the neutral-ground measurement.
