So what advantage would it have over a big 4-way lug wrench for changing tires?
In theory the handle with the bearing would be faster, and 4 handles would be more balanced?
It practice, (having changed I don't know how many tires on race cars with extended 4 lug cross wrenches), the bearing in the handle makes it so you can't stop it quick between lug nuts (The support hand is used to brake the spinning lug wrench, while the off hand grabs a spoke...), the the 4 arms provide double the opportunity to whack the hand that is grabbing for a spoke, thus throwing you out of timing...
I wouldn't want one for that application...
What really matters when doing a fast wheel change manually is making sure the threads on everything are clean, and spinning freely. then you can break it lose, give the lug wrench a quick spin and its off.
Lastly, if you have an overly long lug stud, put it on a lathe and trim off any unneeded threads leaving a starter shoulder to start the lug nut faster, but minimize the time it takes to spin it on...
