Stumped: Overhead AC/Heat round insulated venting...

Where do you find the insulated overhead commercial duct work that you see in Shops and Restaurants with open ceilings. I would like to get a 12' section but can't find WHAT to look for. I have a squirrel cage blower that I want to hook up to and get some wind moving in my Garage for summer and will figure out how to inject some heat and ac but for now I need to find the Insulated Duct to know how I can hang it in my Garage...

Spiral isnt cheap, any good sheet metal shop can fab it up for you. I would talk to them, we throw away 8` to 10` cut offs all the time. They prob. would sell it to you for scrap price considering thats where it ends up

A cheaper solution would just be conventional sheet metal rectangular duct work with duct insulation wrap. Assuming this is going into your own garage, if you don't mess with it, it'll be fine. Some cheaper restaurants and the like do that, and just paint over the insulation so it blends in with the ceiling.

Definitely not as nice looking, but just as effective, and cheaper.

You can also get round sheet metal duct work from a supply house and insulate it yourself. That's what I used after a flood to get back up and running more quickly. It's simple to use, you just need someone to size things up for you for proper air flow. I did a 1,000 sq ft house for about $500, for supply and return.

I like this idea...

It's just to move air and not a very long run so I could probably just use non-insulated...
