The product description has conflicting information about the battery. It also does not mention if it has smart charger or not. The other similar light sold by Sears which has magnetic swivel base and is black in color does have smart charger. I do hate its soft touch electronic switch as it forces you to go through different modes. You will find that light on sale for about the same price every once in a while.
