Suspending lights on jack chain

Hi guys

I have some 4 ft fluorescent battens I would like to suspend from the ceiling using jack chain. What is the best way to mount the jack chain to the the fixture?

v hooks are the best but you can also use s hooks.

V-hooks are best, I have made do w/ #12 jack chain in a V pattern to hang fixtures but that is more labor intensive then a V-hook which is a cheap item.

Make sure you properly ground the metal housing of the light. Many fluorescent ballasts rely on the fixture being grounded to start the tubes. In other words, don't try to get by with two-wire zip cord to power your hanging lamps.
