Is it OK to use those plastic "extenders" like this under switches in metal boxes?
In my shop, I used metal boxes with mudrings...every recep is perfect flush, its a beautiful thing
BUT on my switch box...I used a Raco 686 box:
And of course, its pretty much exactly 1/8" shallow..so I need to extend the switches out to sit flush on the sheetrock. ON a plastic box its no issue, I've used those yellow tab things before. But on a metal box, I am unsure if its OK to do so I figured I'd check here.
Thanks!
