I installed several T 12 lights in my garage over the last 2 years. Most of them have a small plastic rectangular connector on each end. One or two have a single pointed connector on each end. I can't find the bulbs with the rectangular connector easily. Anyone know why?

Eight footers? The ones with the single pin are normal output, and will have F96T12 followed by some other letters specifying color printed on them. The ones with the plastic connector are high output, and will have F96T12/HO or similar printed on them. I've got no idea why you can't find the HO lamps, I'd expect a place like Lowe's or Home Depot to have them, even if in just one color temperature. You might have to hit up an electrical supply house for them.

I use the F96T12/HO lamps and I get them at Lowes. A local electrical supply also has them, but Lowes is cheaper.

Thanks. I was afraid they were being phased out. The ones I need are the high output. I guess I just need to look at other stores.

they will be phased out, but it will be a long time before you cant get them anymore. Dont sweat it yet.
