Temporary option

I ran out of time before the weather change to epoxy my floor. I will now have to wait to spring time. I have one car that leaks a little bit of oil. Until I get a chance to take care of that, I was wondering if the was a large "rubber" mat that I could purchase as a temp solution. Right now I am using a piece of leftover plywood, but was looking for something a little better.

Pick up one of those cheapo boot/shoe trays. They have a molded, raised lip and only cost a couple of bucks. Toss it when you get the leak fixed.

Follow the link. This is the one I purchased. I had (I don't remember which) Home Depot or Lowes order it for me. A little pricey but I am into my third year with it and love it. Even though my floor is epoxied (sp) I find that without a mat to collect the drippings from my everyday ride the floor becomes slipper and real dirty when snow melts. The only downside is that the ribbed design kills your knees when crawling around working on a car. I use a cheapo garden mat when I am on my knees (no comments please!) .

I used a small cat litter pan (or similar) filled with an inch of speedy dri to catch the drippings from my auto ****** when the rear seal was leaking. The weight of the speed dri keeps the pan in place and also helps prevent any spilling. If you do use some type of pan, I do recommend putting some speed dri or cat litter in it for safety and to prevent it from moving around from wind, etc...
