These run best with a notched belt. Pay attention to the width of the belt. That one looks like it's riding high in the groove. Hence the wobble. Get one that fits and then measure the width and height. There are charts on the Net that tell what series it is. Then you have to find the correct length with the notches. Not always easy to find.
Good catch - those cheapies can run for decades if not overloaded too often. That table looks like home brew. Could the surface be "un-brewed" from the collar/support and put back on straight (er)?

Those are actually not made by "test rite" its just a marketing make, Dozens brand names have been put on that basic DP over the decades, and probably still are. If not from the same factory, they all use the same castings and essential specs.
You should be able to find a donor table and the table crank. Used machinery shop or even CL for instance. I believe the column is the std 2-3/4", so verify and you can put a table from any make or model, as long as the column is the same Dia.

I have a 1982 Built Rite. It runs fine. I don't have the 'chuck' for it and can't find a properly sized one in hardware stores. Can anyone give me info from their manual or the chuck itself to help me refine my search for one that will work? It is a KFF-King Feng Fu manufactured unit.
