I just finished cleaning and degreasing my garage floor this past weekend in preparation for my epoxy coating (Wolverine!!!). I am planning on grinding the floor this next weekend, but I noticed this morning that the floor has a very fine white dust residue. I am assuming it’s from the cleaner because it contained Phosphoric Acid. Should I re-rinse the floor with baking soda or can I skip this process this because I am grinding the floor in a few days?

Even after cleaning / power washing I still have a couple of dime sized spots of old paint. Should I work on removing these spots before the grinder or will that take care of these spots.

Grinding will take the spots out but why not spend a few minutes cleaning spots? Might save some grinding.

Despite our efforts, we end up breathing some dust. If cleaning spots saves one minute of grinding it is worth doing.
