I just saw your post and that is a yes.

I like Bosch tools but they only make one tool that in my opinion is clearly superior to what anybody else has to offer in the category and that's their cordless 18V sander. Lowes was giving these things away with a free battery and the tool has the balance and feel of a Dynabrade air sander. The 4 amp-hour compact battery lasts forever and the tool is just about as perfect as it can be.

Yeah that thing is great and Lowes is running a similar promo again but I do not dare to check because I might end up with another tool I did not know I ‘needed’ so I am not sure if the sander is included.

My local lowes has either 2x 4A batteries or one 4A battery and charger with sander or jigsaw.

^ I was looking over the current deals for Lowes. The big impact and 2 x 8ah batts comes to $318 +tax under $150 off $450. Not bad at all.

Any thoughts on the new Expert line?
Seems to me that this is going to be quite annoying, as if you want updated models or certain features, you're going to have to pay a new level of money for this premium plus type of line, that you don't have to with other brands.
Some of the tools have been withdrawn from Pro and reintroduced as Expert unchanged except for brand and higher price.
Some have had some long awaited updates but the updated version is now in the Expert range and much more expensive.
The Expert line is only going to be sold by approved dealers in physical stores.

At least someone's nephew that went to business school has something to put on his resume. I can see there being improvements, but it will be a while before I see it in tools I use. I see $600 on Acme for an Expert grinder. What other brands market in that range?

Grinder is priced 20% more than the equivalent Fein here in Europe.

I have not used the grinder, but I think Fein and Festool have beat Bosch in this product area.

I should have posted back at Christmas but my in laws have been giving me Lowes gift cards for years and I for get to use them. I had a fair bit accumulated and a couple years back I had purchased the 18v sander and loved it and figured maybe I should buy some more bosch stuff. I now have I think 6 batteries, 3 chargers, a small blower (which is awesome), the sander, and a jig saw.
Prior to this, I was all makita and while I really like my makita stuff now that I have all these batteries I am thinking about diversifying the tool collection even more. I could use a rotary hammer drill, another skilsaw, and maybe another drill and impact. Any recommendations, or ones to watch out for?
