thinking about carpet tiles ?

OK, I posted a thread a little while ago regarding the epoxy floor being slippery as heck when I have snow on the boots.

I don't wanna, strip/grind and they re-put a top coat of clear and anti-slip.

So I was thinking, just on the perimeter, to get some "carpet" I'll use that as an example, tiles.

What should I be looking for, I'm also assuming, I can't just glue them down, because of the epoxy floor

or even, where the door is, "a strip" of something or a mat, where I can bang my boots ?

Hey Jaye, if you want something that is more of a temporary solution for when it snows, you might want to check out a product called Pig Grippy by New Pig. These are absorbent mats that are used for a variety of situations, one of which is a floor runner. Here's a Youtube clip that shows the floor runner function about half way through the video.

Another great option is the DryMate floor runner mat.

id look into rubber back carpet tiles. the plastic(eco back) are not as strong and really dont lay flat like the rubber does. they go down with pressure sensitive glue. it should bond to the epoxy. most common size are 24" x 24" expect to pay a decent amount. they are a commerical product but will last for years. you can loose lay them, but they may move if you turn tires on them.

Drymate has a runner garage mat and a full size mat. The are very simple, inexpensive pieces of thin carpet with a waterproof pvc backing that keeps the water from running all over the place.

initally I'm just worried about the initial walk into the garage, and dusting off my boots
but then I thought about putting carpets as said around the perimiter.

and POSSIBLE parking

anyway I have some good options , is that PSA widely available?
