I used to have notifications set to immediate. I'd get email notifications throughout the day which can be distracting. So I changed "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to Daily email notification.
Threads to which I subscribed after that point were emailed at the same time in the evening. Threads I had subscribed to before still came in at random. Things seemed fine in either case.
Earlier this week, I've been getting notification emails heavily delayed. And threads set to "daily notification" scattered throughout the day. The former is an issue and the latter is not, for what it's worth.
"Any advice for a tech new to Hondas and Acuras?" update is dated September 4th, but I got it in my inbox a half hour ago.
My email address auto-forwards to gmail and it has been this way for over a year. How do I read headers on gmail to determine where the delay is? I know the email going from GJ to my .com host could be delayed, or it could be within my host, or it could be from there to gmail.
So I'm not pointing fingers. I'd just like someone who has kept current & savvy on all things internet to suggest how to further troubleshoot this. I am going to further review emails to see if others have been delayed; the GJ ones have been most noticeable due to volume.
