Tile on new floor?

I just had the slab poured for our building. It's going to have a 30x20 "finished" living area. I want to do something for the floor other than the cement. I'd like to go with some type of tile. From what I can tell the floor is "kind of" flat or smooth, but I'd bet it's definitely going to need something to level it out before putting down the tile. What's the best way to prep the floor so that the tile will sit as flat as possible?

Unless you have some serious high spots and/or low spots in your slab, the thinset helps to make up the difference when you are laying your tile. For most circumstances this works fine. If not sure, take a long metal straight edge to the floor to check it out. High spots you can grind and low spots you can fill will a self leveling patching compound that you feather into the floor.

Is there anything else that I need to put between the tile and the cement, other than the thinset? Should I have any concerns about moisture, or is that not too much of an issue with tile?

What will the intended use be in this building? Is it climate controlled? Will it see freeze thaw temps? How much moisture will it see? Are there ground moisture issues in your area?
