Last night a friend and I finished the floor in his 3-car garage with Norklad.
He helped me finish my garage earlier, and the lessons learned from it helped us get much closer to perfect with his.
The end result was nearly perfect except for tiny pieces of something stuck in the finish distributed randomly across the floor. (Really not much to complain about, but it sure would have been nice to get it absolutely perfect.) Obviously we didn't use flakes as this stuff would be virtually unnoticeable if flakes were used.
The floor was very clean (at least to the naked eye) when we started applying the epoxy. One theory of ours is that the spiked shoes we used dug into the concrete/primer surface as we walked around and the resulting displaced concrete is what we are seeing.
Does that happen/did it happen to anyone else - or is it much more likely that there was just dirt/dust/grit on the floor that we missed when cleaning?
