I'd have to look it up, plus they were installed about ten years ago so my price wouldn't have any relevance today. They are fairly expensive, since you're replacing the entire old gutter with a new one with an integrated cover.

last summer i bit the bullet and bought these:
EasyOn Gutter Guard i ordered them from Costco online, NO i am NOT a Costco member, but the price was the best around !!

the foam let too much dirt in and slowly filled the gutter a my father in law place.(residential area)

I have used the white plastic guard with a small mesh from HomeDepot for my gutter to prevent the spruce needle and it worked awesome.

I've used the Stihl Gutter Kit for years as I hate getting up on the roof. I can use it all the time and keep them clean. LOVE it.

I have those cheapo ones from Home Depot and they do a decent job. I still get pine needles in the gutters but the difference between having them and not is night and day. Where before it would take me multiple climbs up the roofs a year to clean the muck off the gutters, now I do it once a year and only around the actual downspouts, where I also have the cone guards and they clog easier.

Those valleys where cleared twice since Sept 1. 40-50 MPH winds expected today, suspect nature will not clear the roof ?

My issues are oaks and maples........2 blocks away pine needles are the real issue.

Point is you still maybe on the roof even with the best gutter guards
The guards do make the roof blow off a 10 minute job.

No complaints.......Leaves come with the Territory along with hood denting acorns.

Never personally used them but got a bad taste after getting them quoted when I did new seamless gutters on both of thr last houses, 2 different states and they both came in around $10/ft for thr leaf guards alone...said no as I thought it was robbery.

That was my thought too. I had roof, soffits and gutters done on the house this spring. The "gutter helmet like" product that they formed up on the truck was $7.00 / foot MORE that a standard 5" K gutter.

I can't use the Costco stuff as the shingles are glued at the edges with ice/water barrier. I started with the kitchen "pop out" and the Costco stuff was fine. I started in on the rest of the roof and found the ice/water barrier. I started in the one spot where the roofer cut a corner and didn't put down new ice/water barrier. I have 2 boxes in the garage unopened . . .

Looking back now - maybe paying that money was the correct choice . . .

This stuff works great and is easy to install. Last I knew it was just under a dollar a lineal foot. Between my shop and house I have over 500'. I have used well over 1000' in the past 5 years. Some pine needles may/will stick in the holes. All else either drys up and blows off or just blows off. Its available in 5" and 6". http://www.theshurflo.com

And many others in this thread would disagree with you. Extremely heavy downpours, pine needles, ice dams, etc. Every single gutter guard has one type of flaw, if not multiple. My comment is based on my experience. I tried several brands at my last place and took them all off. But oversizing gutters and downspouts, I found that it will greatly extend the time between cleanings (if needed at all). There aren't many leaves that won't pass through a 4"×5" opening.

I agree, if some folks would take off the blinders, caused by the expensive cost of the gutter guard.

Take notice of a building and the gutter and its size.

There is no denying or argument to be made as to the efficiency of the larger gutter & down spouts

Follow up post:

I eventually purchased the Amerimax gutter guards from Home Depot. Screwed them to the front of the gutter and the other end rests on the top of the shingle. The shingles are glued to the roof so I cant slip them underneath. I bought screws and painted them bronze to match before installing.

The only drawback is when we get HEAVY HEAVY rain there is some overshooting and when it snows they get covered and drip as the snow melts. I use a broom to clear the 15 lineal feet over the front and back doors and then they are fine.

I had something similar in place for 25 years before we redid the roof in 2021.

I can’t make sense of your picture. Is that hanging vertically from your gutter? What kind of guard is that? What is it full of?

There is no one best gutter guard answer. It depends on what you’re trying to keep out. What works great for oak leaves will be lousy for maple spinners.

So, tell us what you have.

We have lots of pine and cedar trees here and I had my gutter guy put on some fine mesh SS screens that have been great. No junk gets in and they don’t overflow. We went with a 5” gutter on the house to allow for a larger screen. I really like them.

I can get some pictures of them or I may even have a scrap here somewhere. They weren’t cheap by they work very well.

my gutter guy says he gets as many orders to remove gutter guards as he gets asked questions about if they work. The best solution we found is an attachment that goes on a leaf blower. You walk around the house and blow them out a couple times in the fall from the ground, no need to get up on the roof. Also having the wider downspouts helps. The stuff in the big box stores has such small openings, a couple leaves can block them.

I was at a home show once where they had a display. I asked how they did with heavy rains and he said they will overflow and you need proper foundation drainage. I said that is why I have gutters! He didn't know how to answer about causing "ice damming"
